Voter ID

SB 14 (Fraser/Harless) Relating to requirements to vote, including presenting proof of identification.

On April 5, the Senate refused to concur on House amendments and appointed the following conferees: Fraser, Huffman, Williams, Birdwell and Van de Putte.

Eminent Domain

SB 18 (Estes) relating to the use of eminent domain authority has been set on the House Calendar for 04/13/11.  Amendments must be filed by Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.

Sunset

CSSB 656 (Huffman) relating to the abolition of the Coastal Coordination Council and the transfer of its functions to the General Land Office passed out of the Senate as amended on April 5 with 31 ayes and 0 nays. (more sunset news below in Sunset Bills April 6 Update)

Telehealth & Telemonitoring

CSSB 293 (Watson) relating to telemedicine medical services, telehealth services, and home telemonitoring services provided to certain Medicaid recipients has been place on the Senate Intent Calendar.
