The House appointed conferees for SB 12 (Huffman/Bonnen) relating to the contributions to the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Reps.: Bonnen of Galveston, Gervin-Hawkins, Murphy, Walle and Zerwas. They will join Sens.: Huffman, Nelson, Taylor, Kolkhorst and West.
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced earlier this week that his office has revised its revenue forecast for the 2019 fiscal year with an increase of $518 million from his earlier January estimate. Hegar attributed part of the increased revenue projection for the current fiscal year to “upwardly revised estimates of oil and natural gas production tax collections.”
