The House and Senate will both reconvene on Wednesday, April 3, at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. respectively.
The House calendar includes the Sunset safety net bill HB 1550 (Paddie) on third reading and HB 3 (Huberty) the school finance bill and the only bill posted for second reading. There are 91 pre-filed amendments proposed.

SB 1 (Nelson), the budget bill will be taken up in Senate Finance on 4/3.
Taxes/Bonds
HB 2 (Burrows) Relating to ad valorem taxation was reconsidered in committee on April 1 and then voted out favorably as substituted on the same day. SB 2 (Bettencourt) the companion bill has been put on the Senate Intent calendar.
HB 440 (Murphy) Relating to general obligation bonds issued by political subdivisions was passed out of the House, as substituted, on 4/2 with 146 ayes and 1 nay.
School
HB 3 (Huberty) the school finance bill will be taken up on the House floor on 4/3.
SB 213 (Seliger) Relating to the use of individual graduation committees and other alternative methods to satisfy certain public high school graduation requirements was reported out of Senate Education as substituted on 4/2. The bill was recommended for the Local/Uncontested calendar.
Health Care
HB 10 (Thompson) Relating to grants and programs for researching and treating behavioral health and psychiatric issues was reported from House Public Health as substituted on 4/2.
HB 3933 (Martinez Fischer) Relating to consumer protections against billing and limitations on information reported by consumer reporting agencies was heard in House Insurance on 4/2.
HB 1264 (Thompson) Relating to pharmacist communications to prescribing practitioners regarding certain dispensed biological products was voted out of the House unanimously on 4/2. It will now move over to the Senate for further deliberation.
Environment
HB 807 (Larson) Relating to the state and regional water planning process was voted out of the House with 146 ayes and 1 nay on 4/2. The bill will now move over to the Senate for further deliberations.
SB 1082 (Taylor) Relating to the feasibility of creating and maintaining a coastal barrier system was voted out of the Senate unanimously on 4/1. The bill will now move over to the House for further deliberations.
HB 1066 (Ashby) Relating to extensions of an expired permit for the transfer of groundwater from a groundwater conservation district was passed to third reading in the House on 4/2.

HB 1545 (Paddie) Relating to the continuation and functions of the TABC was heard in House Licensing & Administrative Procedures as substituted on 4/2.
