The 2024-2025 Gun-Free Schools – District Report (PR6000) is now available on eGrants under the “Compliance Reports” tab, through TEAL. The due date is June 30, 2025.
Submission of the Gun-Free Schools Report is required of all school systems (including members of a shared services arrangement) that request any federal funds in 2025-2026 for any of the programs authorized by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). If a school system certifies on the PR6000 that there were students found to have brought a firearm, the school system is required to submit a Gun-Free Schools – Campus Report (PR6100) for the reporting campus(es) only. If a school system does not submit its Gun-Free Schools Report, TEA cannot issue NOGAs for the school system’s federal grants.
