The Texas Education Agency has published the following letters to school administrators:
School Safety Standards Formula Grant Extension – TEA will be extending the School Safety Standards Formula Grant (SSSFG) to April 30, 2026. Revised grant events are as follows: Amendment Due Date: January 30, 2026; End of Period of Performance: April 30, 2026; Final Expenditure Report Due: July 29, 2026.
Summer School Program for EB Students Entering Kindergarten and First Grade – All school districts and charter schools required to provide a bilingual education or ESL program to serve identified EB students during the 2024-2025 school year must provide this summer school program, including those with approved bilingual education exceptions and/or ESL waivers. The program is available to incoming kindergarten and 1st grade EB students whose parents have given consent for their participation in a bilingual education or ESL program during the current school year.
