The House Committee on Defense & Veterans Affairs released its interim report to the 87th Legislature. The report includes information on charges given to the committee and testimony connected, but the committee did not make recommendations. For more information, the full report can be found here.
Statement on Recommendations
- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the House Defense & Veterans’ Affairs Committee was unable to meet in person during the interim. Instead of a public meeting, the committee issued a formal request for information. All of the responses to that request are contained in this report. There are several recommendations for statutory changes from individual stakeholders throughout the report. Due to the fact that committee members were unable to meet and discuss whether they support or oppose recommendations from stakeholders, changes are not recommended by the committee as a whole.
