Today the Senate adjourned Sine Die after adopting the conference committee report to SB 1, the key fiscal matters bill, with 21 ayes and 9 nays and HB 3, legislation relating to the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) with 18 ayes and 12 nays.
Although the House originally rejected the conference committee report to SB 1, a motion to reconsider was later adopted and the House finally passed SB 1 with 80 ayes and 57 nays.
Today, the House also passed HB 3 with 98 ayes and 44 nays.
