TEA is extending the deadline for submission of prekindergarten progress monitoring instruments for inclusion on the Commissioner’s List of Approved Prekindergarten Progress Monitoring Instruments. Implementation of the instruments will begin in the 2024-2025 school year, and the list will be titled 2024-2027 Commissioner’s List of Approved Prekindergarten Progress Monitoring Instruments. The notice of this extension can also be found on the March 17, 2023 issue of the Texas Register.
Once the list is updated, detailed information about each of the approved prekindergarten assessment instruments for 2024-2027 can be found on the Educator Resources page of the Texas Education Agency website, as well as on the Data Tool Selection Guide webpage. The current Commissioner’s List of Approved Prekindergarten Progress Monitoring Instruments will remain in effect through the 2023-2024 school year
