At an ERCOT Board of Directors meeting on August 16, the ERCOT board announced that Pablo Vegas has been named ERCOT’s new CEO. Vegas is executive vice president of NiSource, Inc. and is group president of the company’s utilities. He has previously held a number of executive positions with American Electric Power. He is the first permanent CEO since the aftermath of the 2021 Winter Storm.
