Following Tuesday’s primary elections, there are still quite a few races left to be settled in primary runoffs.

The Democratic nominees for U.S. Senate and Agriculture Commissioner as well as the Republican nominees for Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Agriculture Commissioner and Railroad Commissioner will make up the statewide runoff ballots.

The nominees for three congressional races will be settled in primary runoffs as well as two State Board of Education races, two state Senate races and eleven state House races.  Of the eleven state House races, eight will determine Republican nominees vying for open seats.  The remaining three include two races in which incumbents lost and only one with an incumbent facing a runoff opponent.

Key primary runoff election dates:

  • Monday, April 28 – last day to register to vote in the runoff elections
