At its open meeting on June 28, 2022, the Railroad Commission proposed one rulemaking and adopted another. The proposed new rule §3.66 regarding weather emergency preparedness standards implements provisions of SB 3 from the 87(R). The adopted rulemaking includes two new rules and amendments to various rules in Chapter 9 to implement SB 1582 and SB 1668 87(R) regarding LP-gas examination and certification requirements.
Both rulemakings will be published in the Friday, July 15, 2022, issue of the Texas Register. Comments on proposed new §3.66 will be accepted until 5:00 pm, Monday, August 15, 2022. The effective date of the Chapter 9 adoption is Monday, July 18, 2022. The PDF version of the proposed rule can be found here.
