Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Christopher C. Mathewson of College Station to the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2017. The board licenses and regulates the public practice of geoscience.
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Bob McCarn of Port Lavaca to the Manufactured Housing Board for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2013. The board regulates the state’s manufactured housing industry.
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Dan McCoy of Corsicana to the Statewide Health Coordinating Council for a term to expire Aug. 1, 2017. The council evaluates long-term local, regional and statewide health needs to develop workforce goals for health professionals.
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Jacinto Juarez of Laredo to the Texas Institute for Health Care Quality and Efficiency Board of Directors for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2015. Pursuant to Senate Bill 7 of the 82nd Legislative Session, the institute will improve health care quality, accountability, education and cost to the state by encouraging health care provider collaboration, effective health care delivery models and coordination of health care services.
