A work group meeting of the Surface Water Quality Standards Advisory Workgroup (SWQSAW) is scheduled to take place from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016. The purpose of this work group meeting is to inform the public of revisions currently being considered by staff for the 2017 revision of the Texas Surface Water Quality Standards, TSWQS, (30 TAC, Chapter 307), and to provide an opportunity for public input on these and/or any other recommended changes to the rule. Topics to be discussed at the meeting include:
- Site-specific criteria updates based on recreational and aquatic life use-attainability studies
- Texas General Land Office Beach Watch Program
- EPA 2012 Recreational Criteria
