The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has published its drought report for the week of May 19, 2014. ”Thanks to recent rains, we saw decreases in drought levels across the board. Additionally, the odds of having an El Nino this year increased to 65 percent. Nevertheless, nearly 75 percent of the state remains in drought as we enter the summer months,” the drought report states. Additionally, the statewide reservoir storage levels are 66% full, normally during this time the levels would be 86%.
