The Texas Workforce Commission announced that in February, Texas added 77,800 total nonagricultural jobs, making gains in 21 of the last 22 months. For the month, the state exceeded the previous record employment level set in January 2022 by reaching 13,184,100 jobs in February 2022. Texas has added a total of 832,200 positions since February 2021. The seasonally adjusted Texas unemployment rate for February 2022 was 4.7% which is a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from January 2022 and has decreased by 2.1 percentage points from February 2021.

The State Auditor’s Office released their Annual Report on Classified Employee Turnover for Fiscal Year 2021. Statewide turnover rate for classified regular full- and part-time employees was 21.5% and voluntary separations increased 20.4% since FY 2020. The full report can be found here.
