The Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative, as tasked by HB 3767 87(R), has released a report that presents state workforce development strategies for public review and comment. The Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative is a collaboration between the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and the Texas Workforce Commission. Primarily, this plan updates the states’ 60x30TX plan by adding the additional goal of having 60% of Texans ages 35-60 receiving a degree, certificate, or other post-secondary credential of value by 2030. The plan outlines three overall priorities with numerous goals and then enumerates strategies to reach those goals. The Tri-Agency Workforce’s development strategies can be found in their entirety here and the public comment form can be found here. The public comment period will be open for 30 days beginning April 30, 2022 and closing on May 30, 2022.
