The public and interested stakeholders are invited to attend a TWDB Board meeting on Monday, December 14, 2015. At the morning Board meeting, the Board will consider approving the 2016 adopted regional water plans for 15 of the regional water planning groups. The Board will also consider authorizing $1 million in additional funding for streamflow gages and $2 million in contracts for environmental flows and other studies on Texas rivers, bays, and estuaries.  In addition, the Board will consider authorizing the request for applications for $600,000 in agricultural water conservation grants.
 
In the afternoon hearing, the Board will meet to discuss the utilization of $6.8 million in emergency flood funding recently transferred to the TWDB at the direction of Governor Greg Abbott. The meeting will begin with invited testimony from various state experts, followed by public comment.
