The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) met on October 17 to take up their agenda. During their meeting, the TWDB approved amendments to the State Fiscal Year 2018 State Revolving Funds Intended Use Plans making $90 million in financial assistance available for disaster recovery. The approval will enable the TWDB to provide immediate funding options to communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The TWDB also approved financial assistance totaling $82,755,000 for three projects in the state.

  • $34,835,000 to the City of Corpus Christi (Nueces County) to refinance the Choke Canyon Dam Project
  • $47,195,000 to the City of Houston (Harris County) for a stormwater management project
  • $725,000 to the Sandy Land Underground Water Conservation District (Yoakum County) for an agricultural water conservation equipment loan program
