Governor Abbott Appoints Jones to Board of The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Mark Jones to the Board of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles for a term set to expire on February 1, 2029.

Mark Jones of Mansfield is CEO of the Mike Carlson Motor Company. He is a member and former president of the Texas Independent Automobile Dealers Association, former president of the Fort Worth Independent Automobile Dealers Association, and former trustee for the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Foundation.

Governor Abbott Appoints Harper to State Pension Review Board

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Daniel Harper to the State Pension Review Board for a term set to expire on January 31, 2029.

Daniel Harper of Kyle is the vice chancellor and chief financial officer for the Texas State University System. He is chairman of the Kyle Housing Authority and a member of the Texas Association of College and University Business Officers Executive Committee.

Governor Abbott Appoints Wager, Hussein to Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Roberta “Bobbi” Wager and Hussein Musa, M.D. to the Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force for terms set to expire at the pleasure of the Governor.

Roberta “Bobbi” Wager of Boerne is a retired nurse. She is a member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association, president of the Texas Renal Coalition, patient advocate for the Kidney Research Institute Patient Advisory Committee, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels Kendall County.

Hussein Musa, M.D. of San Antonio is director of pain medicine at the Kingdom Healing Institute and founder of The Kingdom Healthcare System.

Governor Abbott Appoints Six to Early Childhood Intervention Advisory Committee

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Terrie Breeden and Guillermo Lopez and appointed Rosalba Calleros Ramirez, Deborah “Debbie” Cohen, Ph.D., David Goff, M.D., and Audrey Jackson to the Early Childhood Intervention Advisory Committee for terms set to expire on February 1, 2029.

Terrie Breeden of Wimberley is the State 619 program coordinator for the Texas Education Agency.

Guillermo Lopez of Austin is the senior early childhood intervention director for Any Baby Can.

Rosalba Calleros Ramirez of Buda is the executive director of Texas Parent to Parent.

Deborah “Debbie” Cohen, Ph.D. of Austin is an associate professor at the UT Austin Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and the UT Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work.

David Goff, M.D. of Strawn is a pediatrician with Cook Children’s Physician Network and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Texas Christian University Burnett School of Medicine.

Audrey Jackson of San Marcos is the Head Start Administrator for the City of San Antonio.
