The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released correspondence to notify local education agencies (LEAs) regarding the school year (SY) 2025-2026 State Performance Plan Indicator (SPPI) clarification process for Indicators 11 a (Timely Initial Evaluations), 11 b (Eligibility Determination), 12 (Early Childhood Transition), and 13 (Secondary Transition).
Eligible LEAs will have the opportunity to participate in a clarification period and submit evidence of pre-finding correction before findings of noncompliance are issued by TEA. LEAs that do not successfully clarify reported noncompliance may be subject to a corrective action plan (CAP). This letter also provides information regarding the clarification timeline, available resources, participation requirements, and eligibility criteria.
