The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is seeking stakeholder input on proposed rulemaking regarding the reportable quantities of heptane and nonane. The potential rulemaking seeks to establish a reportable quantity of 5,000 pounds instead of the default reportable quantity of 100 pounds for heptane and nonane.
Informal comments can be made at a stakeholder meeting on October 29, 2026. The stakeholder meeting can be attended in person or accessed online here. Written comments can also be submitted until 11:59pm on November 6, 2026.
