The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has launched a statewide water public awareness campaign called This is Texas Water. The campaign is designed to help Texans better understand where water comes from, how much communities will need in the future, and the planning and infrastructure need to secure water security long term.
Senate Bill 28 of the 88th Legislature tasked TWDB with leading this campaign. This is Texas Water uses resources from local water planning data. A zip code lookup tool on the campaign website allows users to learn what their primary water source is, how much water their community will need in the future, and about their regional water planning group.
