Texas Comptroller Don Huffines has released the fiscal 2026 state revenue totals. The following figures were released:
- General Revenue-related revenue for fiscal 2026 totaled $88.26 billion, up 2.5% from fiscal 2025.
- All Funds revenue was $188.89 billion, up 3.2% from fiscal 2025.
- All Funds tax collections were $88.23 billion, up 4.8% from fiscal 2025.
- Sales tax revenue was $52.24 billion, up 6.5% from fiscal 2025.
- Motor vehicle sales and rental tax revenue was $7.45 billion, up 5.2% from fiscal 2025.
- Franchise tax revenue was $6.96 billion, down 1.7% from fiscal 2025.
- Oil production tax revenue was $5.88 billion, up 9.2% from fiscal 2025.
- Natural gas production tax revenue was $2.43 billion, down 1.8% from fiscal 2025.
Additionally, in November, the State Highway Fund will receive $2.69 billion in transfers of oil and natural gas severance taxes. The Economic Stabilization Fund will not receive any severance tax transfers since it is above its cap.
