The deadline to request a ballot by mail for the March 3rd primary is February 20th. The application must be received by the voting clerk before the deadline.

To vote in a political party’s primary election, you must select which party’s primary you are voting in on your application to receive the proper primary ballot.

Voting by mail is limited to Texans in the following categories:

  • 65 years of age or older
  • Sick or disabled
  • Expecting to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day
  • Absent from the county of registration during the Early Voting period and on Election Day
  • Civilly committed under Chapter 841 of the Texas Health and Safety Code
  • Confined in jail, but otherwise eligible
