The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is hosting a public forum to provide information and gather feedback on the Rural Texas Strong plan on August 15th. The Rural Texas Strong plan outlines how funds received through the Rural Health Transformation Program will be used towards the following six rural health care initiatives:
- Enhancing or creating wellness and nutrition programs.
- Investing in technology to support patient health portals and communication.
- Using artificial intelligence and telehealth to improve patient outcomes.
- Strengthening the rural health care workforce.
- Bolstering cybersecurity defenses.
- Providing new or updated equipment.
The forum will occur on Wednesday, August 19th, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Big Spring City Council Chambers (307 E. Fourth St., Big Spring, TX).
