Governor Greg Abbott announced the launch of the new Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office website. Through the use of AI technology, the website makes it easier and quicker for Texans to find rules and forms relative to their profession or business.
The TREO has also begun its initial round of agency reviews, already identifying and recommending more than 435 regulations for amendment or repeal across 11 state agencies. TREO estimates these initial recommendations can reduce 69,000 words from the Texas Administrative Code and save Texas taxpayers an estimated $123 million so far.
