The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is under Sunset Review for the 90th Legislative Session. The Self-Evaluation Report has been published.  The report includes details on major issues and agency comments. The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) leadership has identified six major issues that Sunset could help address through changes in statute to improve the agency’s operations and service delivery. These issues relate to: 1) Improving the customer experience; 2)Increasing agency flexibility; 3) Enhancing data and data analytic capabilities; 4) Increasing regulatory efficiency and addressing gaps; 5) Improving Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) coordination; and 6) Ensuring effective contract management.
