Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has appointed the following members to the Senate’s Select Committee on Disaster Preparedness and Flooding:
- Charles Perry (R-Lubbock) – Chairman
- Pete Flores (R-Pleasanton) – Vice Chair
- Paul Bettencourt (R-Houston)
- César Blanco (D-El Paso)
- Donna Campbell (R-New Braunfels)
- Adam Hinojosa (R-Corpus Christi)
- Lois Kolkhorst (R-Brenham)
- José Menéndez (D-San Antonio)
- Charles Schwertner (R-Georgetown)
The Committee is scheduled to meet jointly with their House counterparts for the first time on July 23 at the Texas Capitol. A second hearing is scheduled to take place on July 31 in Kerrville.
