The Texas House and Senate have adjourned for the day after completion of opening ceremonies.
The Texas House will gavel in at 10:00 am tomorrow to vote on housekeeping resolutions, and then again at 10:00 am Thursday to vote on House rules. In his closing remarks, House Speaker Dade Phelan noted that these resolutions and rules would be circulated to House members this evening. If all business is completed at the end of the Thursday session, the House will adjourn until January 26.
The Texas Senate intends to gavel in tomorrow at 1:30 pm and will then adjourn until January 26.
