The Supreme Court of the U.S. heard oral arguments today in a consolidated case concerning authority of the Environmental Protection Agency to institute air pollution regulations under the performance standards provisions of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. § 7411(d)) and the associated EPA Clean Power Plan rule which has worked through federal courts since 2016.
