Twenty-four Harris County Democratic precinct chairs have elected Shawn Thierry to replace Rep. Borris Miles (D-Houston) on the general election ballot. Miles was running unopposed therefore Thierry will have no major party opposition in the November election.
Miles was previously selected to replace Sen. Rodney Ellis (D-Houston) on the ballot when Ellis was selected to replace Harris County Commissioner El Franco Lee who passed away earlier this year.
