The Department of Aging and Disability Services held a stakeholder meeting to take suggestions for their fiscal year 2018–2019 Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR). Because DADS will no longer be an agency after Aug. 31, 2017, the funding request for DADS programs will be part of the Texas Health and Human Services LAR. The HHS request will be submitted late this summer. At the hearing, stakeholders shared their suggestions for the LAR and what they hope to see if their suggestions are implemented.
