Tonight House lawmakers were about to vote on SB 332 – Fraser/Ritter – relating to the vested ownership interest in groundwater beneath the surface and the right to produce that groundwater when a point of order was called on the bill. The point of order was withdrawn and the bill was postponed until 11:30 p.m.
It should also be noted that language from the House version of SB 332 was also amended into HB 725 – Callegari/Fraser – relating to the operation, powers, and duties of certain water districts which passed out of the Senate on May 21.
