SB 23 –Nelson/Zerwas – relating to efficiencies and cost-savings in the health and human services and other related regulatory agencies, including the state medical assistance and child health plan programs, also referred to as the Medicaid cost containment bill passed to third reading in the House this evening. SB 23 is also one of the critical bills to passing the budget bill.

A total of 39 floor amendments were adopted.

SB 23 as amended was passed to third reading with 95 ayes and 45 nays.
