The House today tentatively approved the TCEQ Sunset bill. The Committee substitute of HB 2694 (Smith) relating to the continuation and functions of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and abolishing the On-site Wastewater Treatment Research Council was passed to third reading in the House with 23 floor amendments adopted. The vote was 107 ayes to 38 nays.
