Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dustin Burrows have announced the creation of Senate and House Select Committees on Disaster Preparedness and Flooding. The committees are scheduled to meet jointly on July 23 and then the following week in Kerrville, exact date to be determined. Per the press release, Lt. Gov. Patrick and Speaker Burrows will both appoint nine members to serve on their chamber’s Select Committee.
