The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is now accepting applications for the 2026 funding cycle of the Texas Water Development Fund (DFund).
The DFund program is a state-funded loan program that does not receive federal subsidies. Through the DFund, the TWDB may fund multiple eligible components within a single loan.
The first step in the process is to schedule a pre-application conference with your Regional Project Implementation Team to discuss project eligibility. Interested entities should contact Diana Sanchez at 512-475-1554 or diana.sanchez@twdb.texas.gov to schedule a pre-application conference. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, using the TWDB’s online application system.
