Upcoming SBOE Meetings

The State Board of Education (SBOE) has scheduled both a Committee of the Full Board meeting and a special called meeting for February 25^th and 26^th, respectively.

On Wednesday, February 25^th, the Committee of the Full Board will meet at 8 am to take up the following agenda:

1. Consideration of Removal of Instructional Materials from the List of Rejected Instructional Materials
2. Approval of Updates to Approved Instructional Materials
3. Public Hearing on Proposed New Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Social Studies
4. Discussion of Proposed New Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Social Studies
5. Approval of Required Civics Training Program
6. Approval of Required Parental Rights Training for District Trustees

On Thursday, February 26^th, the SBOE will conduct their special called meeting at 8 am. The meeting will take up the following matters:

1. State Board of Education Operating Rules (amended January 28, 2025)
2. 2025-2029 Rule Review Plan for State Board of Education Rules
