The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released the 2026 Federal Real Property Survey. TEA is required to collect information on the status of real property purchased with federal funds. The survey will now be collected annually due to a code change.
Local education agencies (LEAs) have to provide information on both active real property purchased with federal grant funds as well as real property originally purchased with federal grant funds that have been disposed of since the last survey submission in 2023. All LEAs are expected to complete the survey regardless of whether they purchased real property with federal funds.
The survey must be submitted by 5:00 pm (CST) on April 20, 2026. The survey can be found here.
