Michelle Alletto has been named the Texas Health and Human Services Chief Program and Services Officer, effective Jan. 20. The chief program and services officer is responsible for overseeing the management of Texas HHS medical and social services, as well as the Health and Specialty Care System, which comprises state supported living centers for people with intellectual and development disabilities and state psychiatric hospitals. Alletto most recently worked in health policy at the Milbank Memorial Fund, where she advised a multi-state collaborative on Medicaid long-term services reform and identified best practices in Medicaid-financed mental health and substance use disorder services.
