The Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation (Commission) has adopted new rules, amendments to existing rules, and repeals at 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Chapter 60. The adopted amendments implement House Bill (HB) 1342, 86th Legislature, Regular Session (2019) which provides the authority to issue restricted licenses to certain professions and for a person to be eligible to reapply for a license under certain circumstances. The adopted amendments also implement HB 1899 requiring mandatory denial or revocation of licensure for certain health care professionals. The adoption justification was published in the January 24, 2020 issue of the Texas Register (45 TexReg 533).  The updated rule chapter will be made available upon its effective date of February 1, 2020.
