On January 3rd, 2020, Governor Greg Abbott issued a proclamation extending the December 12th drought disaster declaration for 14 counties and expanding it to an additional 3 counties. The 17 counties now under the declaration are Bandera, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Karnes, Kendall, Kinney, Llano, Maverick, McCulloch, Medina, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde, Williamson, Zapata, and Zavala counties. Governor Abbott also extended the disaster declaration for counties affected by Hurricane Harvey on December 23, 2019.
