During the February 5th State of the State. Gov. Greg Abbott listed six emergency items. Those items were: School Finance and increasing teacher pay (HB 3 was passed), school safety (addressed in SB 500), Texas Mental Health Care Consortium (SB 11 was passed), Property Tax Reform (SB 2 and HB 3 were passed), Disaster Preparedness and Recovery (A suite of legislative bills were passed see below for more details under Disaster bill spotlight).
