The U.S. Census Bureau wrapped up self response and field data collection operations on October 15, 2020. The Bureau is currently processing all the data. The U.S. Census Bureau has said it will not be able to provide numbers until after president-elect Joe Biden is scheduled to take office. The Bureau in a December statement said they did plan to deliver a population count of each state in early 2021, as close to the missed deadline as possible. However, last week the AP reported the numbers used for deciding how many congressional seats each state gets won’t be ready until sometime February.
