The November 18, 2020 public hearing of the Senate Committee on State Affairs has rescheduled and has now posted to take up their agenda on December 7, 2020.

They will meet at 10:00am to hear invited testimony on the following interim charges:

Study how governmental entities use public funds for political lobbying purposes. Examine what types of governmental entities use public funds for lobbying purposes. Make recommendations to protect taxpayers from paying for lobbyists who may not represent the taxpayers’ interests.

Study and recommend ways Texas can further protect the lives of the unborn, including fetal heartbeat legislation and any other law or regulation that protects life.

Capitol access is limited to legislators and staff only. Testimony will be limited to invited testimony. Invited testimony will be conducted via video-conference. Visit the following link to view the livestream of the hearing.
