U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue has announced the establishment of the U.S. Domestic Hemp Production Program. This program, as required by the 2018 Farm Bill, creates a regulatory framework around hemp production throughout the United States. Interim Final Rules for the program have been published in the Federal Register and comments received by December 30, 2019 will be considered prior to issuance of a final rule.
