Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a joint letter concerning the public camping ban in House Bill 1925 to the Texas Association of Counties, the Texas Municipal League, and cities across the state. HB 1925 provides that the AG may sue to enforce the public camping ban. Local governments found to be in violation of HB 1925 could lose state grant funds for the following fiscal year.

See the letter to the Texas Association of Counties here; identical letters were sent to the Texas Municipal League and the cities of Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Fort Worth, El Paso, Arlington, Corpus Christi, and Plano.
