The White House has released a fact sheet detailing funds Texas is expected to receive under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Included in the fact sheet are total funding estimates Texas is expected to receive over a five year term, as well as grant programs Texas may apply for. The fact sheet highlights the following programs and amounts:

Transportation

  • $26.9 billion for federal-aid highway apportioned programs
  • $537 million for bridge replacement and repairs
  • $3.3 billion for public transportation options
  • $408 million to support EV charging network expansion

Broadband

  • $100 million for broadband access across the state

Disaster Response & Infrastructure

  • $53 million to protect against wildfires
  • $42 million to protect against cyberattacks
  • $2.9 billion to improve water infrastructure
  • $1.2 billion for airport infrastructure development,

National Grant Programs

  • Broadband Affordability Connectivity Benefit for eligible low-income families
  • $2.5 billion national EV charging infrastructure grant program
  • $12.5 billion Bridge Investment Program for economically significant bridges
  • $16 billion dedicated for major projects delivering substantial economic benefits to communities
  • $3.5 billion national grant program for electric grid weatherization, also open to certain electric grid operators, generators, and transmission or distribution utilities can apply for
