The House Investigative Committee on the Panhandle Wildfires was created on March 12th to investigate the factors contributing to the wildfires, allocation of resources to and effectiveness of wildfire disaster preparedness and response, and coordination between local, state, and federal governmental entities with regard to wildfire prevention, disaster preparedness, and response. Members on the committee include: Reps.: Ken King (Chair), Dustin Burrows, Todd Hunter, and public members: Jason Abraham and Ashley Cash. The committee shall submit a report by May 1st.

The House Administration Committee will meet on Monday, March 18th to discuss the budget for the Investigative Committee on the Panhandle Wildfires. The meeting will being at 12:30 p.m. and can be viewed online here.
