At its open meeting on October 15, 2024, the Railroad Commission proposed two rulemakings. The first, proposed new §3.82, implements the requirements of SB 1186 (88R) relating to the regulation of brine mining. The second, proposed amendments to §1.201, updates time periods for permitting processing. The proposals will be published in the Friday, November 1, 2024, issue of the Texas Register. Due to holiday scheduling, comments on the proposals will be accepted until 12:00 noon, Monday, December 2, 2024.
